Bergen OVERVIEW

This spectacular gateway to the fjords, Bergen, is a color feast of the Hanseatics wooden houses set against a delightful backdrop of Mount Ulriken and Mount Fløyen forest-clad hills and a maze of narrow cobbled streets snaking their way up past the picturesque surroundings. No wonder many a traveler falls in love with it at the very first sight. Often dubbed as the ‘Rainy City' due to its 200 days of rainy weather, Bergen does not put off with it. Just the contrary, the enchanting location quickly gives the visitors an easy lesson on rainware and how to operate an umbrella vending machine. Life is defined by mountains and water here so expect the locals to be crazy about skiing, hiking, walking or building a log cabin and, of course, into fishing and boating. If that's what you're after too - you've just found your piece of Heaven on Earth.
