How about some stars dazzling in the bright gold sun? You don't need any sophisticated hi-tech telescope to marvel at this phenomenon - just visit Cannes, the fab star-studded seaside resort at the French Riviera and the International Film Festival venue. This glamorous social hub of Europe is the place to be if the silver-screen masterpieces and red carpet celebs are your cup of tea ( I guess ‘your glass of champagne' would be more appropriate here). When you get over the blinding showers of camera flashes (most typical for Cannes in May), steer towards the La Croisette and let yourself enough time to savour the promenade's illustrious haute couture boutiques and gleaming jeweler shops, the picturesque old port and Suquet Hill of cobbled streets and breathtaking views and the palatial Hôtel Carlton and Hôtel Martinez. And don't you forget to enjoy some relaxing moments on a comfy sun bed somewhere at Cannes sun-caressed beaches and fall head over heels in love with the belle époque feel of the town.
