Niagara Falls tourism is a worthy choice as it is like a double destination vacation. There is the choice of visiting the American Falls and Bridal Veil Falls, New York or Ontario's Horseshoe Falls. This impeccable product of nature is a must-see.
New York's Niagara Falls sited just under 20 miles out of Buffalo is a state park and offers various views of both the American Falls as well as the Bridal Veil Falls. Then, there is Prospect Point Park which not only has views but also an observation tower for a better view. There is a "Maid of the Mist" in New York as well as Ontario that takes tourists below the falls which is a great experience and great fun.
An alternative would be Goat Island that visitors can travel to on foot or take a drive and it also offers a good view of the Falls. This place offers an elevator at the Cave of the Winds to hike below the Bridal Veil Falls. There are also paths to walk and take in the site. Also, there is the Niagara Scenic Trolley for a guided tour of the Falls and even helicopter rides for amazing views from the top. If you want to know more about the falls, the Niagara Gorge Discovery Centre is the place to be. It might entice you to choose to come back again.
As aforementioned, the best part about the experience is that you hit up two destinations. To aid the effort, there are three connecting bridges to cross the border from New York's Falls to the Ontario Falls. The Whirlpool Rapids is the oldest of the bridges while the Lewiston-Queenston is the newest but the Rainbow Bridge has the best views of the Falls.
Just less than 80 miles outside of Toronto is Ontario's Niagara Falls where the Horseshoe Falls is. It is about twice the size of the American Falls in height. There are coloured floodlight around the Falls at night time, making it all the more beautiful.
As with New York, there are numerous places at which you can view the Falls. Queen Victoria Park is one such place where a great view of both the American Falls and Horseshoe Falls is offered. There are underground walkways and observation rooms, to create the illusion of standing under the Falls. Then, there is the Skylon Tower that offers a spectacular view of the Falls, and even Toronto on good days. There are cable cars to allow visitors to go over the Whirlpool with the alternative being the "Journey Behind the Falls" which is an observation deck at the bottom of the Falls.
Niagara Falls is not just about the falls as there are also many other attractions in the area including god restaurants, comfortable hotels, and tourist attractions for all in the Fallsview Tourist Area. An example would be the four wax museums including Movieland Wax Museum of the Stars, Louis Tussaud's Waxworks, Criminals Hall of Fame Wax Museum, and Rock Legends Wax Museum. There are three miniature golf courses and arcades, five haunted houses and a lot of shopping on to do on your Niagara Falls vacations.
So, as you can see, Niagara Falls tourism is for one and all to enjoy and very well worth the time and money.
