Singapore Trips

I have travelled to Singapore at three different times of the year in order to find out about the any budget accommodation for a couple of nights. Singapore is a poised city with a flawlessly planned administration and construction. The region of Singapore matches the exact parameters that are required to accommodate its population. It is modernish city with a refurbished and multileveled road construction and with sky-touching skyscrapers. Diversity can be noticed in its full-fled form in the Singaporean population with influx of more and more newcomers every year.

While we were on the flight from Jakarta, Indonesia to Singapore, we noticed some people carrying crates of water...the sight stroke off curiousness in our minds. The mystery finally got unravelled when we paid 4 SGD for each 500 ml bottle of water which is actually a lot more than the price you pay for a bottle of refreshing cool drink. Throughout all my Singapore trips, I faced a tough time finding a stay that could be available for decent price.

If you go through the regions of Geylang, Little India, Joo Chiat Road, Orchard Road, and city centre you would find hotels with rooms priced at below USD 80. In these hotels, you can think of possibility of finding a room for 40 dollars, which ends my most struggling search in Singapore. Hotel 81 is a premium budget hotel that owns a chain of 20 hotels in Singapore. The rooms offered by these hotels start off at a rate of USD 50 that varies with location and season.

Some of the other budget hotels in Singapore are Park View, Broadway, and The Inn at Temple Street Hotel, Fragrance Hotel. The streets of Singapore flooded with budget hotels and are overcrowded during the weekends.

It doesn't really matter where you decide to stay during your Singapore trips, as it is east to commute from one end to another or more specifically from one attraction of Singapore to another with the help of the speedy Mono Rail Transport. At our last trip's stay at the Claremont Hotel in Little India costed us 107 Singapore dollars (SGD).

I still remember, it was weekend stay and by eve, the place was lit up with bright lights and became occupied with Mustafa shoppers. There was unusual odour of cigarette smoke the surrounded us at the hotel. We asked for a change of room toiletries for which we had to wait really long time for that service. I won't blame the hotel still (as it was cheap) but the inauspicious day.

On our next trip, we chose to stay at the Hotel Re in China Town that was decked up with a '70s style decoration. Hotel Re is positioned in the calm and peaceful corner of China and offers comfy rooms equipped with upgraded amenities and standard services for its customers. The rooms at this hotel are available for 120 SGP.

I would personally advice you to not to fall for the fine-looking cheapest hotel in Singapore that assure you of the lowest room tariffs with unassured facilities.
