Budget Hotel Tokyo

Tokyo is just one of those places that any enthusiastic traveler needs to visit. That being said it is one of the few large business/financial orientated places in the world, similar to New York and London. This makes Tokyo an extremely expensive place to visit, so in general when looking for a budget hotel, Tokyo is not usually the best place to look.

That being said, there are plenty of great deals out there, it is usually finding them that is the biggest problem. Here are a couple of figures to allow people to grasp the size of Tokyo - it has over 13 million as a population and it has a GDP of US$1.479 trillion (2008).

Obviously it can be extremely daunting travelling so far to a place and not knowing any of the local land marks, so here is some information to help.

Probably one of the best places to start with would be the Hotel Meigetsu. While for most travelers looking for a budget hotel, Tokyo is usually not the best place to look. That being said, this hotel has room rates starting from $35.00, which is a lot cheaper than most in the area.

The great thing about it, is that it is extremely modern, being opened in August 2009. This means the facilities are great, including the likes of free color TV, air-conditioning, and free internet connection. Obviously for business people on the move, the internet is the key feature there. Of course, all the basics such as microwave oven and refrigerator are also included.

The next on the list would be the Juyoh hotel. As mentioned previously, as far as a budget hotel, Tokyo is not really the best place. That being said this hotel offers an extremely comfortable experience for guests.

All of the rooms include the likes of color TV, air conditioning, a refrigerator and bath towels. In fact, the hotel itself even offers free use of their own PCs in the lobby area, which can be a great feature for business people. Even better is the fact that it is just 30 minutes from Ginza and Ikebukuro. If that is not enough then the likes of Shinjuku, Shibuya, and Roppongi are just 45 minutes away.

Of course, a guest can not expect everything from the Juyoh that they would get in a $100 hotel. That being said, guests will have the benefit of getting room rates from just $36.
