When you are done spinning around the city you should take a break and spin in the 360 Restaurant Toronto. Located on top of CN Tower, the world's tallest building, the restaurant offers an upscale dining experience for those who can stand heights.
If you don't tend to suffer from vertigo, the 360 is going to be a memorable experience not only in terms of dining but also as far as the views of the city go. You do not see the same scene of Toronto while eating as the restaurant keeps spinning slowly while you eat. Down with boredom outside the window!
The 360 Restaurant Toronto is a recipient of many awards like Distinguished Restaurants of North America award, Wine Spectator Magazine's Best of Award of Excellence, UP! Magazine's Best Value Dinner award, WHERE Magazine readers' poll's Most Romantic, Ontario Healthy restaurant programs Award of Excellence, etc.
As spectacular as the view is, the food offers stiff competition, presented to you by the executive chef Peter George with the custom grown herbs, and produce. The food is fresh with ingredients from local farmers and vintners. The restaurant also boasts the highest cellar in the sky at 351 meters. The cellar houses over 500 international and Canadian wines.
The innovative menu is totally seasonal and features the catch and produce of the season. Lunch menu is for a fixed price of $49 (Appetizer, Main, and Dessert). Dinner menu starts at $35 and Diner Prix Fixe is $55 (appetizer, main, and dessert) and $68 (Amouse Bouche, appetizer, main, and dessert). The special vegetarian menu mains are for $35. They also have a choice steak and seafood menu with aged beef by ounce, Ontario Lamb, lobster and shrimp.
Reservations are highly recommended as the place fills up pretty fast. Elevation cost to the 360 Restaurant Toronto and the Look Out and Glass Floor levels are free with the purchase of an entrée. The elevation otherwise would cost around $22. Business casual attire is required to dine in this place. The restaurant is open from 11 am - 2 pm and 4:30 pm - 10 pm. Paid parking is available nearby.
The restaurant is suitable for a nice dinner or lunch out, business meeting, date night, and special occasions. Other times it is bit expensive for a regular meal. Food presentation is beautiful.
On the other hand, guest reviews have complaints of long waiting by elevator and in the lobby and food service. Few had experiences of having cold food served. Overall there is a common complaint about poor service. People recommend arriving in the later part of a weekday for no lines.
