Car Rentals In Toronto

I am a physically challenged psychology professor and often use car rentals in Toronto. I have to travel out of the college campus either to visit my family or to the university for meetings and routine administrative work. The college offers me the courtesy of using car rentals for my purposes of travel away from the campus.
Since I have a deformed left leg since birth, I prefer to use cars that are equipped with hand controls. This poses a problem if I don't specify my need. I found that if I don't want to be stranded I need to request for the hand-controlled car while making the reservation.
Most of the car rentals appear to be offering this facility for the physically challenged based on the guidelines of the American Disabilities Act. The process for hiring a car for the physically handicapped is the same as that for regular clients.
There is one exception though. If the disability is blindness or the renter is unable to drive due to the nature of his disability, he could use the services of a driver who is over 25 years of age and holds a valid driver's license.
It has to be noted that the disabled or the physically challenged will have to be with the nominated driver at the time of hiring. Though the whole process appears to be rule-ridden, we, as the challenged group, should understand that it is for the protection of all the parties involved.
People with disabilities like mine could easily use car rentals in Toronto for they provide the added advantage of altered hand operated controls which gives us the independence and self-reliance to drive a rental car and not feel obliged to anybody. Besides renting a car seems more economical than taking a taxi to and from the airport.
Car rentals in Toronto specially offer Hypertrax technology, and their cars are equipped with five modifications for the convenience of the physically challenged. These include left and right hand controls and steering wheel spinner knobs. Also, special areas are ear-marked for the physically challenged at the car return parking areas near the airports.
One thing has to be said in favor of the car rentals in Toronto - they offer all these special services for people like us at no extra cost; and the one way travel charges remain the same as for regular customers. In other words you get convenience at no extra cost.

I am handicapped. I lost my right leg in a road accident. I want to know from where you get cars to be driven by handicapped people. Phone number and address
