Beach getaways are the perfect find if you are looking for the perfect vacation for you and that special someone. There is many a romantic beachs aimed towards just this purpose. Then, there are the beaches for those wanting to escape reality and the rest of the world with their partner. So, different beaches have different plus points.

Fiji's Turtle Island is a great place for escapology so you can get away from everything else and just connect with your other half. The island holds traditional Fiji weddings as well as romantic French champagne picnics on one of its 14 private beaches all of which are accessible only to couples. Once there, couples can enjoy a relaxing day of horseback riding, followed by soothing massages then moonlit or candlelit dinners on deck in the ocean. The only major decision to make would be accommodation where you have to choose between bures, villas or luxury hotels.

In Africa, you'd be spoilt for choice what with Kenya's 9 islands or Tanzania's 8 islands all with both land and water sports and activities as well as being romantic destinations. Aside from the many islands of beautiful beaches, there is the vast variety of wildlife and great food to enjoy.

Flamingo Beach Resort in Costa Rica is a top notch beach getaway as it has everything under one roof. There are quite a few pristine beaches to enjoy soaking in the sun or turtle watching. Golf and fishing is available as well and there is also a national park.

The Majahirtas, Mexico beach is definitely a great choice for secluded beach vacations. It is only accessible by a 20 minute boat ride and only meant for day tripper excluding the lucky guests of the eight room hotel on the island. These guests have the entire beach to themselves once those on day trips leave. The bay is a great area for snorkelling and kayaking purposes. The hotel has a simple elegance and is very eco friendly with no electricity, open air casitas but it's really close to nature so expect your friendly neighbourhood bugs.

Beach vacations like Sydney's Store Beach are a part of the Sydney Harbor National Park and can be accessed by boat only. No boats can dock closer than 150' to the shore. On weekdays, it is almost always empty and just a half hour kayak away for an alternative to riding a boat.

Wildcat Beach, located at Point Reyes National Seashore, in San Francisco, California is on a very isolated stretch which just adds to its serenity. It is very laidback with not much activity; you can enjoy a nice stroll barefoot on the beach and look out for magnificent white whales. If you have a permit, a nice campfire would end the swell day. If not on the beach, there are 7 backcountry campsites overlooking the ocean, just a stone's throw from the beach.

So as you can see, there are many different beach getaways that offer so many different atmospheres and activities and so it's hard to pick but it all depends on what you want out of your romantic getaway
