Mount Fuji Restaurant is a Japanese steakhouse with two location namely in Hasbrouck Heights, New Jersey and in Hillburn New York. This Japanese restaurant has been in the business for the last 25 years offering hibachi Japanese cuisine to American diners. Like other Japanese restaurants, foods are cooked on a teppan-yaki table right before the customer's eyes.
The restaurant has a very Oriental interior and ambiance. Even the outside of this restaurant is adorned with Asian sculptures and Japanese style landscape. In short, coming to this restaurant gives diners a little taste of the majestic world of Asia. Much more, prices are very affordable especially if you compare it to other Japanese restaurants in the country.
Open for lunch and dinner, menus for the two locations differ in a little way. But more or less, food choices for the two locations are almost the same. From appetizer to rice meals, their dishes will surely leave diners hungry for more. Aside from the usual sushi and sashimi, try their famous rolls like tempura roll and spicy tuna roll.
Menus all have Japanese names but written in English of course. It is good to know that each Japanese food in their menu has its corresponding description. With these, customers don' have to ask what "gyoza" is or what is included in a miso soup. The also have a special children's menu for diners below 10 years old.

They have Japanese drinks and beers like Japanese rice wine or sake and popular Japanese beers like Kirin and Sapporo. They also offer local beers, cocktails, wines and punch.
Special events are held in Mt Fuji like birthdays where celebrants are treated with the Japanese banzai or toast with fresh pineapple, a candle and of course, a birthday song by a man in complete Japanese costumes. There are also some times of the year when a dinner show is held at Mt. Fuji.
