Online Travel Agent

Due to my husband's hectic schedule at work, our vacation plans were in troubled waters. It was postponed and rescheduled from ground zero at least thrice. So when he finally got a week off from work and plus found the Get Away Today online travel agent, it was nothing short of a miracle. But by this time, we were a little tensed regarding the little time we had. Into the eleventh hour, the only thing we could do was to decide where we could do and what to do that would not be heavy on our pockets.
This was when the online travel agent came to our rescue. It came into being 20 years ago, and was the brainchild of Chuck and Julie Smith, a couple just back from Disneyland, who wanted to give others the opportunity to experience the same. The obstacle however being that for families, especially those on a tight budget, such theme parks could prove to be very expensive.
Hotels have many hotels which go unoccupied, a fact known by the Smiths. So at first they contacted the hotels around theme parks asking for the available discounts and facilities, thus giving birth to the agency. And today, they have expanded to vast territories which include cruises, resorts, adventure excavations in addition to Disney vacations, and have had over 2 million satisfied customers.
We decided to opt for a 2 hour drive to Anaheim, CA and then go to Disneyland. We chose an outstanding Getaway vacation deal and extracted the most from it. We were able to save up to 33%, as we got 2 additional nights free with the three night package, which would not have happened if we had just booked.
Our option was the Disneyland resort vacation deal, in which all the tickets, even for the adults were for kids' price. This made possible our dinner in Goofy's Kitchen, and we just could not stop laughing as Goofy and friends tickled our funny bones throughout the evening.
We simply got much more than we had asked for. The package was too much. As a bonus, we got tickets to Disney's California Adventure park, A Bug's Land, The Golden State, Paradise Pier and Hollywood Pictures Backlot. The Backlot became our favorite, where a Broadway musical of Aladdin was showcased. We had to skip the "Hotel of Terror" and much of Bug's Land, as our kids were quite young.
We decided to spend a day at the Knott's Berry Farm too, thanks to our online travel agent package. What we loved the most was that we were able to book the vacation within minutes, and get a classic discount as a bonus.
After this, there were still a host of other options available for getaway today vacations, but we decided against the idea as we didn't want to just overdo with it. But for the next time we do it, we may be trying out the Disney cruises to the Caribbean, or possibly Hawaii. And I can see a 65% discount at a Sandal's resort; do we have a second honeymoon coming up? Who knows?

Worldwide travel nowadays is very popular but it can also be very daunting especially when you're going to some place exotic.
It would be a big help for the traveler to look for a destinations specialist to better prepare them for their vacation.
