St. John is known for its kayaking and mountain biking. You can sign up for the guided sailing and snorkeling tours to visit protected islands and snorkel the coral reefs. Sailing instructions are available. One of the favorite places on this island is Trunk Bay, which has underwater snorkel trails. There are underwater signs that describe the local fish and coral marks the shallow water.
