Is there any gril who traveled alone in South America? I'm planning to go backpacking to Chile, Argentina, Peru and Bolivia this summer for half a year. I've heard different opinions on safety in S.A. Do you thnik it is safe?

Hi there. I am also thinking of travelling around SA on my own. Would you be interested in travelling together or discussing ideas? I am 25year old female in London hoping to go over the summer

Hello,

It's good to know that I'm not the only one in this world with such crazy ideas like travelling alone in SA.

I'm keen on discissuing some ideas with you, though, I would actually love to go traveling alone. I did it in South East Asia and I think traveling alone gives you much more freedom and space and also pushes you to meet new people. But we could meet somewhere on the way? When are you off to SA?

Well, South America is nowhere near as safe as SE Asia, if you allow me to generalize.

Hello Oatmeal, which South American countries would you consider the most dangerous when traveling alone?

I don't plan to go to Venezuela and Colombia - this could be too crazy to go alone. I'v just read your comments in another post here, and I agree with you that you need to have your bookings arranged.

Do you think Peru, Chile and Argentina are not safe?
