Amsterdam OVERVIEW
Much as virtually all preconceptions are at least partly mistaken, whatever you happen to associate with Amsterdam is correct. Constantly in motion like its endless canals, promiscuous like the Red Light District, laid-back like the regular visitors of myriad coffee shops, artistic like its outrageously good museums, and open-minded like Van Gogh himself. The city is just too seductive and sensual to be captured in plain words. And it's all the more impressive considering its small size.
