A group of hypnotized divers are gazing down the rocks at what the world calls "Diver's Cemetery". They've already had the time of their life in stunning Hol Chan Marine Reserve, but the Blue Hole attracts them like its Black cosmic sister. Down there a dazzling shoal of Atlantic Porkfish scampers in all directions on catching a glimpse of the nurse shark looming from behind the intricate wall of stunning coral. A barely audible roar of howler monkeys comes from the heart of the rainforest, and the guide kindly informs accommodations are available inside the sanctuary for those wishing to stay overnight.
As the day is drawing to an end, the less adventurous ones, wound down and sun-caressed in paradisaical Placencia, pull their kayaks out of the azure water, fold their loungers, slip out of palm-stretched hammocks and head to their favorite thatched restaurants for a daily portion of caldo. When the heat dies down, some of them will surely take a walk to the village of Seine Bight, where the joy of life is infectious and the choice of artifacts nothing short of astounding.
