Cheap tropical vacations are now a reality. Equatorial regions of the world draw millions of holidaymakers every year and do not necessarily prove out of reach. The warm climate and stunning attractions act like bait on a fishing rod, enabling the travel companies to reel in the customers who are often willing to splurge in order to have an extraordinary vacation experience.
However, attractive discounts and a number of affordable destinations make it possible for people to travel away from their mundane normal lives and transport themselves into a picturesque and scenic paradise without seriously hurting their bank balance.
Tropical countries have the ideal climate for a vacation. They combine clear skies with scorching temperatures and sizzling sunlight, bathing these places in warmth that is the perfect antidote to the kind of colder climate that many holidaymakers are used to. Combine this with cool waters and white sandy beaches and you have a perfect concoction of conditions for a break.
An example of this kind of destination is the beautiful, sun kissed island of Antigua in the Caribbean. It is adorned with 365 beaches, meaning that there is a different one for every day of the year. They are tucked away in the island's many bays and are considered some of the prettiest beaches in the entire world, popular with snorkelers and divers, as well as those simply looking for a relaxing vacation. There are also several shopping districts that contain traditional British and American shops, in order to appeal to the strong tourist trade that the island attracts.
A slightly different example is San Jose, the capital of Costa Rica. In a contrast to the beaches that characterise Antigua, cheap tropical vacations in San Jose are more likely to consist of historical visits and sightseeing as visitors sample the rich history of the place. The refined cultural experience continues with the presence of contemporary art and sculptures, some made out of glass along with the more historical and traditional architecture. It deserves to be considered one of the sightseeing capitals of the world.
Another exotic island retreat is the island group of Fiji, near New Zealand. The attractions include swimming with dolphins and the majestic manta rays as well as sampling a series of gorgeous beaches, framing deep blue lagoons and amazing coral reefs. There is no other place on the planet that can rival Fiji in terms of coral reefs and surfing waves. In fact, surfers from all over the world flock to Fiji in order to take on the Cloud Breaker, one of the most notorious waves in the entire world.
As well as the extreme sports reputation, a vacation to Fiji allows you to sample a rich culture due to performances of traditional music and dance routines by those descended from the natives of past times. It is a fantastic cultural experience for any traveller.
So to conclude, cheap tropical vacations are a sublime way to sample the nicest and most enjoyable climate the world has to offer and also to experience some of the most primitive, yet interesting cultures that have ever graced the world. These vacations are an experience that everyone will enjoy and that no-one should miss out on.
